Take part in the first ever Rare Chromosome Disorder Awareness Week 2nd - 8th June 2014

On behalf of Unique, CDO and the Bond family who suggested the initiative, we’d like to invite you to participate in the first ever ‘Rare Chromosome Disorder Awareness Week’ planned for June 2nd to 8th this year. During this week, we would love people with rare chromosome disorders, families, friends, support groups, professional colleagues, non-profit organisations and others to join together around the world to raise awareness of rare chromosome disorders.

We are hopeful that this is the beginning of a movement that will continue to grow year on year. We imagine that initial involvement through social media by you and your members, families and individuals will expand into awareness-raising events of your and their choosing as opportunities present themselves.

Please do let us know if you would like to add your group to the ever increasing list of awareness week supporters. Just send your details to beverly at rarechromo.org so she can add your group’s name to the list. Please share the logo at the top centre of this page (see attachment) and the date of the awareness week with your membership and contacts. If you would like to have the logo in other languages, please let us know. At the moment, we have it available in English, French, Spanish, German and Swedish. Feel free to use it in any of your electronic communication media – wherever it will draw attention to Rare Chromosome Disorders!

We want to thank you for your time as we are keenly aware of how busy you all are!  We are grateful for your help in raising awareness of rare chromosome disorders and launching the first of what we hope will become an annual event.
