P10 Michael Morris After obtaining his D. Phil. in molecular immunology in 1988, M. Morris developed and directs the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory of Geneva University Hospitals. The Laboratory, which provides a wide-ranging spectrum of molecular and molecular cytogenetics diagnostic tests, was accredited to the ISO 17025 norm in July 2003. M. Morris has particular interest in the challenge of "interfacing" quality standards and clinical molecular testing, particularly in the smaller laboratory, the validation of new clinical genetic tests, and mutation identification. As an active member of the Swiss Society of Medical Genetics he was instrumental in defining the requirements and training of the Swiss title "FAMH Specialist in medical genetic analyses" and is the author of the SSGM "Best practice guidelines on reporting in molecular genetic diagnostic laboratories in Switzerland".
- Director of the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory of Geneva University Hospitals.
