What

Human complex diseases are controlled by complex molecular mechanisms that are characterized by the joint action of multiple genes, each having only a small effect. In this context, traditional methods involving single sign posts have limited use and more advanced and efficient methods are needed to identify gene interactions and epistatic patterns. In this post-genomic era, it is our firm belief that advanced methods in statistical genetics should make better use of the vast amount of information that can be retrieved from proteomics, transcriptomics and metabonomics, to name but a few.
