Event - Round table sessions - Case studies on quality assurance and quality control issues in genetic testing laboratories (WP1.8)

What

This 1 hour round-table session will be held on quality assurance and quality control at the ESHG, Nice.

The aim of this session is to discuss in small groups about concrete situations related to quality processes in genetic testing laboratories (molecular, cytogenetic and biochemical), and to meet colleagues faced with similar challenges and problems. Training of personnel, reporting, sample reception, non-conformities, corrective and preventive action, and validation are examples of the types of situations that will be tackled.

Focus group: lab directors, scientists, technicians and quality managers working in a medical diagnostic laboratory. The round table session is of equal value to accredited and non-accredited genetic testing laboratories.
