The ENGAGE Consortium in collaboration with CSG and P3G organizes a Summer Institute to discuss the ethical, legal and societal implications related to the translation of epidemiological results from genetic and genomic research to clinical practice.

) organizes a Summer Institute to discuss the ethical, legal and societal implications related to the translation of epidemiological results from genetic and genomic research to clinical practice.
This four day intensive course is designed for professionals actively involved in biobanking. The Summer Institute offers insight about issues and solutions applicable to the field and gives participants the opportunity to interact with the lecturers through discussions and working group sessions.
The course will be organized into the following three sessions:
The course will total 17 hours of teaching and work group sessions (breaks and summary not included).
The faculty gathers world-known experts whose work reflects broad international experience.
The course will take place at the Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands. The Hotel Zuiderduin is situated at the foot of the dunes and just 100 metres from the beach in the lively town centre of Egmond aan Zee. The town can be easily reached by train from Amsterdam and Schiphol airport.
A registration fee of 200 Euros will apply for participants from non-ENGAGE institutions to cover accommodation for 4 nights (check-in: 21st June - check-out: 25th June), catering and tutoring for the whole duration of the Summer Institute. The course is free of charge for participants from ENGAGE partner institutions.
