New technologies in genetic testing are emerging rapidly. However their introduction and evaluation in diagnostic laboratories occurs ad hoc. The main aims of EuroGentest Unit 5 is to get a good inventory of all the latest technological developments in genetic testing and to coordinate their technical evaluation in accredited Diagnostic Centres all over Europe with well-characterized clinical samples.
