György Fekete

P6 György Fekete is the director of the II. Department of Pediatrics, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. He leads the cytogenetic and molecular research groups of the Department (focus on cystic fibrosis, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, phenylketonuria, Williams- Beuren syndrome, etc.). He is the President of the Hungarian Association of Pediatrics, and former secretary-general of the Hungarian Society of Human Genetics. He has been involved in different European projects, ACCORD, Concerted Action on CF, and he organized one of the CF International Meetings for Central and Eastern Europe in Budapest in 2000.
