Jorge Sequeiros

P19 Jorge Sequeiros is head of the department of Human Genetics of the University of Porto. He is involved in the development of new genetic tests, particularly in the field of the hereditary spino-cerebellar ataxias (SCAs), Quality of genetic testing and counseling, integration of genetic testing with counseling, in the SCAS, Huntington disease, familial amyloid neuropathy and other late-onset neurological disorders, and in hereditary hemochromatosis, Genetic counseling in the context of pre-symptomatic testing and prenatal diagnosis of late-onset disorders, psychosocial and ethical issues, and professional and public impact of pre-symptomatic and prenatal testing in late-onset diseases.
