Domenico Coviello

P24 Domenico Coviello (MD, PhD) is a medical geneticist, currently Head of the Laboratory of Medical Genetics, ICP- Milan, Italy (Mangiagalli Clinic, University Hospital of Milan). His research activity has been dedicated mainly to laboratory activity (cytogenetics and molecular genetics) and to genetic counseling with particularly interest in education of professionals. He participated to the EC projects: 1995-1997- EC Concerted Action Biomed I on Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (Prof. W. McKenna, London. UK); 1997-1999- EC Concerted Action Biomed II EUROSCREEN (Prof. R. Chadwick, Preston, UK. 1997-Organiser of the Satellite Meeting of the ESHG conference in Genoa “Education, Training and Responsibilities of Non-MDs Genetic Counselors”; 2000-Co-Organiser of the workshop of the ESHG conference in Amsterdam on “Training of non-medical genetic counsellors in Europe”. From 1999- Member of the Public and Professional Policy Committee of the ESHGenetics; from 2002 -Member of the Educational Committee of ESHG.
