Director of the Institute Of Biomedicine of Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil. Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil. President of the Commission for Scientific Research at the Medical Faculty of the Universidad Católica. Member of General Research Council of the Universidad Católica.

Areas of interest: Genetic and prenatal diagnosis, invasive fetal procedures, preterm birth, preeclampsia, menopause and health care management issues.
