| CV | Kris Dierickx teaches medical ethics and is a staff member of the Centre for biomedical ethics and law, a research group with an internationally reputed expertise with regard to ethical and legal questions in the field of human genetics, biobanking, regenerative medicine and research ethics. Besides the national research projects in this area, Kris Dierickx has been involved as a partner in several European Commission funded projects as a partner or coordinator: EUROSCREEN I; EUROSCREEN II (Genetic screening: ethical and philosophical perspectives; ESSE (Education, biomedical science and society in Europe); CF THEMATIC NETWORK, and EUROPHEN (Public policies, law and bioethics). Actually,he is chairing the ethics workpackage in three running EC projects: EUROGENTEST,STEPS (A systems approach to tissue engineering: processes and products) and EUROCARECF (European Coordination Action for Research in Cystic Fibrosis). Kris Dierickx is currently also the coordinator of GENEBANC: Genetic bio and dataBanking: Confidentiality and protection of data. Towards a European harmonisation and policy.
