Jean-Jacques Cassiman

P1/CO Jean-Jacques Cassiman, coordinator of EUROGENTEST NoE, is division head of the Center for Human Genetics, KULeuven and former director of the Molecular diagnostic laboratories. He is leading two research groups (focus on cystic fibrosis and colorectal cancer) and is the director of the Forensic DNA identification laboratory and molecularly archaeology at CME. From 1993 – 1999 he was secretary-general of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) and from 2002 on liaison officer for the ESHG to the International Federation of Human Genetic Societies. He is involved in different European projects: coordinator of the Biomed-2 Concerted Action on CF, CF Thematic Network and CF-Pronet.
