The EuroGentest Road shows

Different guidelines have been drafted by or with a contribution of EuroGentest participants. To make these known to all geneticists and to the different stakeholders in order to implement these in the Member States is an important task. Indeed EuroGentest was funded to promote harmonizing and improving the quality of the genetic services.
To this end the National Human Genetic Societies have been offered the services of EuroGentest. Participants in the NoE are available to introduce the different guidelines at the National or regional meetings.
On this occasion, other stakeholders in the country will be invited for a workshop or an interview about these guidelines.

At present the following guidelines/informations are available for presentations:

1. The OECD guidelines on quality aspects of molecular genetic testing
2. Guidelines on genetic counseling
3. Guidelines on professional education in genetics
4. Guidelines on clinical utility of genetic tests
5. Information on genetic testing for patients

A series of invitations have already been received for either single presentations, workshops or meetings with stakeholders about these guidelines.

These include:

• The ECA conference in Istanbul July 7, 2007
• The Slovak society of human genetics, September 13 – 14, 2007
• The Ecuadorian Society of Human Genetics, September 17 -19, 2007
• The Polish society for Human genetics, September 20, 2007
• The German Society of Human genetics, April 9, 2008
